Cambodian delegation visits CPBN to learn best practices in public procurement.

The Central Procurement Board of Namibia was pleased to receive a delegation from the Kingdom of Cambodia for a study visit in public procurement.  Headed by His Excellency Mr. CHHIM Sareth, Director General in the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Cambodia, the visit accorded the delegation an opportunity to learn best practices from Namibia in the implementation of public procurement policies.  Furthermore, the visit was aimed at sharing best practices and challenges experienced in the implementation of domestic preferences, which Namibia is implementing through the Code of Good Practice.  The Code of Good Practice is an initiative by the Namibian government aimed at promoting, facilitating and strengthening measures to implement the empowerment and industrialisation policies of the Government by providing a framework for the application of preferences and reservations under the Public Procurement Act, no 15 of 2015 as amended.  Namibia is termed as one of the countries in Southern Africa with advanced public procurement management systems.
